The hands-free Bailout Buddy 2 is on its way and it is smaller, lighter, and fully-sealed, eliminating the possibility of debris getting inside.  The lightweight unit is filled with 35 feet of high-strength steel cable that withstands fire temperatures beyond the capability of Kevlar^®or Technora^®. Just attach Bailout Buddy 2 to any convenient anchorage and get out quickly and safely. You can rely on Bailout Buddy 2 to swiftly lower you out of the fire zone then gradually slow your descent for a safe recovery.

Bailout Buddy 2 is the only firefighter bailout device that:

• Is fully automatic so deployment is simple
• Has steel cable to resist high fire temperatures typically exceeding 1000^oF
• Carefully handles free falls so you can get out quicker, even if diving out the window
• Is so straightforward to use that only one-time familiarization training is required, eliminating the need for costly re-training
• Can safely lower two people at a time (maximum 500 pounds)
• Initially descends quickly to get you away from the fire, then slows down for safer recovery and landing
• Has an on/off brake to stop your descent and restart if necessary
• Meets the latest controlled descent device safety standard specifically cited in the 2009 NFPA Life Safety Code
