Lawrence N. Bonino

Lawrence Bonino is President of American Safety Consultants, Inc., the loss control division of Allied North America. He is responsible for comprehensive management of the loss control, risk management, safety and health programs offered to Allied North America's insurance clients.

Prior to joining American Safety, Mr. Bonino served for five years as Vice President of Risk Management, Safety and Insurance for the R.E. Pierson Group of Companies (REPC). Before joining REPC, he worked as a safety and health instructor and management consultant for 20 years. He was the Founding Director of Training Rescue for Dalloz Fall Protection (formerly Miller Equipment) and has designed and presented training programs in safety management and hazardous materials emergency response for such organizations as Morgan Corporation, Armstrong, Hershey Chocolate, Lucent Technologies, Boeing Airplane, SAIC, US Geological Service, AMP, Incorporated, and the University of Pittsburgh.

Mr. Bonino holds more than 45 certifications in risk management, health, safety and emergency response, as well as a certificate in management skills from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. He is an authorized OSHA Construction Safety Instructor and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Environmental Studies from Cook College at Rutgers University.



Sharon Emek, Ph.D., CIC

Dr. Sharon Emek is a partner at CBS Coverage Group, Inc., a large, regional insurance agency located in New York. She is also a prolific public speaker on insurance and management issues, and is often sought by the media as an expert appearing on TV, and quoted in business and news periodicals.

As an authority on insurance issues, Dr. Emek often testifies before the NYS Assembly Insurance Committee. She has testified on terrorism insurance, insurance market conditions and broker compensation. Most recently, she testified before the House Financial Services Committee subcommittees and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners on developing a permanent terrorism insurance solution

Dr. Emek currently serves as chair of Independent Insurance Agents Brokers of New York. She holds a doctoral degree from Rutgers University and received the National Promising Research Award for her doctoral research.



Michael Podoshen CPCU, ARM

In 2006, Michael Podoshen retired after 33 years with Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO), leading the company's Commercial Property, Corporate Risk Management, and Personal Lines Divisions. He was also the Director of ISO Israel, the company's first significant international operation.

Mr. Podoshen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Long Island University



Lauren Gregory, Esquire, ARM

Lauren Gregory serves as President of Allied Risk Solutions, LLC where she is responsible for the risk management consulting division of Allied North America. Her responsibilities include outsourced consulting services, captive insurance companies, and other unique risk financing programs.

She has more than 20 years of executive-level experience in Risk and Insurance Management, and was instrumental in forming the first captive insurance company in New York State.

Ms. Gregory holds a law degree from Touro Law Center and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2001. She also holds an MBA in Risk Management from the College of Insurance and is a licensed NYS Property/Casualty Insurance Broker.
